The project involves hanging shirts etc., bearing messages against violence on clotheslines to symbolically air the dirty laundry and provoke people to talk openly about gender based violence. Feel free to contribute your own messages about gender violence to the project while it airs on campus.
The Clothesline Project in Nanaimo is spearheaded by Haven Society and several clothesline projects will be held throughout Nanaimo. For more information please visit www.havensociety.com/clothesline-project.
