The Lightboard is a tool which enables faculty members to create engaging video resources for student learning.
The Lightboard is a large piece of glass behind which a faculty member stands and explains a concept by drawing on the glass. A video recorder is aimed at the glass but the image is reversed so that the video captures the text in a readable form.
The best way to understand how the Lightboard works is to see it in action and explore the different ways it can be used. It is all about facing the audience while capturing a short explanation or mini-lesson.
Join us for a chance to interact with the Lightboard and learn how it works, how faculty are using it, and consider how you might create your own Lightboard videos.
