Now you have something to talk about!! Peer observations provide rewarding and even enjoyable opportunities for reflective practice. But because our classrooms have traditionally been highly private places, opening them up to others is not something to do without some forethought. Knowledge of protocols and best practices will help. In this session we’ll simulate a classroom visit and practice the procedures that will ensure effective and safe peer observations among and between faculty members. We’ll also look at how the exchange of observations should be organized. Participants will come away with a clear understanding of best procedures for peer observation, and how to avoid the most common pitfalls. Join us for an active session and lively discussion.
