Join me to learn six powerful strategies with strong research backing that will help your students learn – more effectively!

These six strategies have strong research support for helping students learn and retain what they learn. Faculty members can employ these six strategies as often as each naturally fit within their courses. The strategies do not require technology, special materials or resources. The strategies can be integrated in a variety of ways whether the instruction is teacher-directed, student-centred, project based, inquiry-based etc. Since they are not dependent on any curriculum content, they can easily be applied to any discipline in post-secondary education. The strategies also allow for differentiation for working with a wide variety of learners.

These six strategies help students with three main learning functions:

Learning New Content
Connecting Information to Deepen Understanding
Assist in Remembering What is Learned

You’ll get a package of resources for each of the strategies and leave with ideas to implement in your classes the next day!
