We will be showing a mix of short and longer films. Our theme this year is “Tactical Urbanism/ The Creative City” (see schedule below). We are making space for two speakers this year, each with a unique area of expertise but united by a common focus on citizen action. We are planning to show the documentary, “Citizen Jane,” as the closing film, which documents Jane Jacobs in her fight to save New York’s historic Greenwich Village from the draconian freeway plans of power broker Robert Moses in the early 1960s. As in past years, pizza will be provided at the dinner hour for free, along with popcorn and beverages. Pre-registration is required to ensure we have enough food. To register, go to Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/12th-annual-urban-issues-film-festival-tickets-38421399440?aff=ttd).
